ZAPATA, TEXAS---Elda L. Gonzalez, 83 passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Gonzalez; grandchildren, Angeles Guadalupe Gonzalez and Cesar A. Alvarez; parents Manuel Mario Lopez and Araceli Garcia; brothers, Efrain A. Lopez, Eustolio A. Lopez, Edmundo A. Lopez, Eliseo A. Lopez, Eduardo A. Lopez, Eloy A. Lopez, and Enrique A. Lopez; sister, Elva L.(Gerardo) Gutierrez.

Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her sons, Jorge Jr. (Idolina E. Gonzalez) and Ariel (Olga P.) Gonzalez; daughter, Isela (Stacy) Lindquist; grandchildren, Monica Y. Gonzalez (Reynol Martinez) Isabella L. Vasquez, Ariel Gonzalez Jr. Jorge A. Gonzalez, Stacy Lynn Lindquist and William P. Lindquist; great granddaughters, Isabel L. Martinez and Analisa Martinez; sister, Estela L. (Jack) Moore; sisters-in-law, Irene Lopez, Yolanda G. Lopez, Flora Lopez, Blanca S. Lopez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a mass at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
