ZAPATA, TEXAS---Efrain Gutierrez passed away October 26, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo Texas.

Efrain was a loving father, brother and grandfather; he was born on April 5, 1949 in Rancho Nuevo, NL Mexico to parents Erasmo Gutierrez and Alicia Salazar.

Efrain Gutierrez is preceded in death by his father, Erasmo Gutierrez, mother, Alicia Salazar and nephew, José Ignacio Chapa.

Efrain leaves behind his ex wife and lifetime friend Cynthia Rodriguez; daughters, Vennisa Gutierrez (Claudia Gutierrez-Solis), Rosalicia Gutierrez, Maria Gutierrez; grandchildren,  Emmanuel Gonzales, Elijah Gonzales, Ethan Gonzales, Avaya Costilla, Shelby Plaza, Cash Cuellar, Xoe Cuellar, Giavanna Gutierrez, Ariel Gutierrez; brothers, sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Efrain was loved by his community and will be deeply missed.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Panteon De Rancho Nuevo in Rancho Nuevo N.L.
