ZAPATA, TEXAS---Eduardo Javier "Eddy" Guevara 41, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Guevara is preceded in death by his brother, Juan Antonio Guevara, Jr.

Mr. Guevara is survived by his wife, Selina I. Guevara; sons, Roberto E. Guevara, Victor J. Garcia, Jr.; daughter, Ashlee M. Garcia; grandchildren, Roberto Antonio Guevara, Roslyn Marie Guevara, Aria Rayne Guevara; parents, Juan Antonio Guevara and Rosa Maria Guevara; brothers, Alejandro Antonio and Anthony Javier Guevara; nephew and niece, Jenicia I. Guevara and Javier A. Guevara; in-laws, Jose Roberto (Carmen S.) Garza; grandfather, Antonio Luis Guevara and by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession on depart on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
