ZAPATA, TEXAS---Edna Guzman 63, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Guzman is preceded in death by her parents, Eliud and Manuela Alanis; brothers, Roel Alanis, Eliud Alanis Jr.; grandsons, Javier Rene Gutierrez and Lucas Alexander Guzman.

Mrs. Guzman is survived by her husband, Roberto Guzman; sons, Gerson (Lydia) Guzman, Roberto (Dyhanne) Guzman, daughter, Rosa E. (Ramiro) Gutierrez; grandchildren, Ramiro Gutierrez Jr., Jesus D. Gutierrez,  Melanie N. Gutierrez,  Evelyn L. Guzman, Edna E. Guzman, Gerson J. Guzman, Roberto Guzman  and Dyhanne R. Guzman; sisters and brothers, Nelda (†Isidro) Paredes, Maribel (Sergio) Peña, Emede Alanis, Romeo (Guadalupe) Alanis, Uriel (Norma) Alanis and by numerous other family members and friends.

Mrs. Guzman was a very loving and caring person always thinking of others.  Edna was a people person she loved to be surrounded by her family and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A chapel service was held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
