ZAPATA, TEXAS---Edith H. Morales, 49, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 17, 2021, in Zapata, Texas.

Mrs. Morales is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nestor Hernandez and Maria Garcia de Hernandez and maternal grandparents, David Contreras and Mary Ramirez de Contreras.

Mrs. Morales is survived by her husband of 32 years, Pedro M. Morales; sons,Pedro M. Jr. (Ariana R.) Morales and Luis A. Morales (Pauline Inocencio), daughters, Kristina E. (Claritza Ariell) Morales and Kayla E. Morales (Rolando A. Gutierrez); grandchildren, Sophia, Briella, and Pedro M. Morales, III; parents, Alfredo (Herminia "Mine") Hernandez; brothers, Aguinaldo R. (Lorena Vela) and Alfredo Hernandez, Jr.; sisters, Maria M. Hernandez and San Juanita "Cane" Hernandez; in- laws, Pedro A., Jr. (Rosaura J.) Morales; and sisters in law, Lydia Galvan, Laura (Carlos) Herrera, Linda (Alejandro) Arredondo; and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Edith was married to Pedro Morales for 32 years. She was the most caring, loving and affectionate mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She had the gift of making everyone around her feel like family, regardless of who they were. She was a woman of great faith. She always spoke blessings into people's life ("God Bless You";"Que Dios Te Bendiga").

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 8 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pedro M. Morales, and Pedro M. Morales, Jr., Luis A. Morales, Kristina E. Morales, Kayla E. Morales, Alfredo Hernandez, Alfredo Hernandez, Jr., and Aguinaldo R. Hernandez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Pedro A. Morales, Jr., Pedro M. Morales III, Rolando A. Gutierrez, Ovidio Bautista, Jr., Juan Bautista, Juan Morales, Adalberto Morales, Sergio David Cavazos, Armando Galvan, Jose Armando Galvan, Roxana Galvan, Luis R. Benavides, Aguinaldo Hernandez, Jr., Alberto Hernandez, Alfonso Benavides, Alfonso Benavides, Jr. and Francisco Hernandez.
