ZAPATA, TEXAS- Edgar Martinez 39, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Edgar is survived by his wife, Martha Martinez; daughters, Mariana Martinez, Mia Isabella Martinez, Camila Martinez; parents, Rolando and Nora Martinez; brothers, Jose B. (Gloria) Martinez, Rolando Martinez Jr., Saul Martinez, Egberto (Lizbeth) Martinez; sister, Cynthia Martinez and by numerous other family members and many friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. with a wake at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, we will open at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
