ZAPATA, TEXAS---David Munoz, 50, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Alice, Texas, and raised in Zapata, Texas, David spent his life building cherished memories with family and friends in San Antonio. Known for his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, his warm spirit, and his infectious sense of humor, David was a devoted father, husband, son and friend.

David loved horses and roping. He loved to be outside and passed that love along to his children. David could make anybody laugh, frequently at his own expense, and was always up for a competition. He was a talented welder, and a great friend.

David is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Munoz, Jr. and daughter, Delissa Munoz.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda Noreen Munoz, his sons David Munoz Jr., Eric Munoz and Raymundo Del Bosque, and daughter Luna Valentina Munoz. He also leaves behind his mother, Enigma Imelda Hinojosa (Roel Hinojosa); sister Enimelda Cuéllar (Horacio Cuéllar - Mateo Joaquín Ortiz, Sofía Maria Ortiz) brothers Daniel Munoz (Nydia Munoz - Andrea Marie Gutierrez, Raymundo Daniel Munoz and Rene Daniel Munoz), Roel Hinojosa Jr (Connie Gracia-Hinojosa - Mason Roel Hinojosa, Madison Reign Hinojosa) and Daniel "Boy" Munoz Jr, (Kaylee Longoria - Daniel "Tres" Munoz III). Although he is his nephew, Boy has always been more of a brother to him. He brought immense joy to David's life.

Visitation hours were held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Catholic chapel service at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A service in celebration of David's life was held at St Brigid Catholic Church (6907 Kitchener St., San Antonio, TX 78240) on October 25, 2024, at 10:30 am.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His love for horses, his passion for his family, and his unwavering dedication to those he cared about will continue to inspire and uplift others.
