ZAPATA, TEXAS---David Lynn Moncivais 40, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

David is preceded in death by his baby boy, Matthew Lee Moncivais; father, Lynn D. Smith; brother, Jesus Moncivais Jr.; sister, Beatriz Moncivais Lopez.

David is survived by his wife, Dawnetta L. Moncivais; sons, David Moncivais Jr, Joshua David Moncivais, Luis A. Arambula; daughters, Elizabeth Lee Moncivais, Evelyn Lee Moncivais; stepdaughter, Hazel L. Rocha; parents, Jesus and Beatriz Moncivais; mother, Cynthia Hinojosa; brother, Thomas Smith; sisters, Maria G. (Gilberto Jr.) Davila, Maria L. Moncivais, Viviana (James B.) Johnson, Doralene Smith; and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

In lure of flowers, monetary donations can be made at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a wake at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023 we will open at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
