ZAPATA, TEXAS---David Martinez 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Celedonio and Maria Del Refugio Martinez; brother, Alfredo Martinez and great-great-granddaughter, Yaritza Marie Gonzalez.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Martina R. Martinez; children, Rosa (Hector) Gonzalez, David Jr. (Petra) Martinez, Martin (Paula) Martinez; grandchildren, Rosa Gonzalez, Alicia (Rafael) Puebla, Maria Elena Gonzalez, Pedro (Lourdes) Martinez, Rosie Elaine Martinez, Martin Martinez, Jr., Hector Gonzalez Jr.; sister, Ludivina Martinez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
