ZAPATA, TEXAS---David Guerra 78, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Zapata, Texas.

David and his wife Elena owned and operated D&E Food Craft for 30 years established in 1970 until his retirement in 2000.

Mr. Guerra is preceded in death by his parents, David and Luz Guerra; brothers, Jesus Guerra and Juan Guerra; sisters, Genoveva Guerra, Leonor (Allen) Lewis, Jesusa Guerra, Dominga (Amador) Trejo and Hilda (Noe) Rivera.

Mr. Guerra is survived by his wife, Elena F. Guerra; son, Jose Fernando Guerra; daughter, Delia Maria G. (Homero, Jr.) Flores; grandchildren, Jose F. Guerra, Jr. (Samantha Alaniz), Alexa Marie Guerra (Jaime Gutierrez, Jr.) and Homero Ismael Flores, III (Zaira Villarreal); great-grandchildren, Camila Nicole Guerra, Nickolas David Gutierrez, Kataleya Gizel Flores; brother, Ramon (†Anita) Guerra and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
