ZAPATA, TEXAS---Consuelo Saldivar de Gonzalez 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Saldivar-Gonzalez is preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Gonzalez; granddaughter, Daniela Gonzalez and parents, Luciano and Maria Dolores Saldivar.

Mrs. Saldivar-Gonzalez is survived by her son, Porfirio (Claudia) Gonzalez, Jr.; daughters, Rosa Delia (Jose Guadalupe) Salinas, Yolanda (†Alejandro) Abaroa, Consuelo (Sergio H.) Cortez; grandchildren, Jose Guadalupe (Amanda) Salinas, Brenda S. Cortez, Denisse (Daniel) Garcia, Yolanda Abaroa, Sergio H. Cortez, Jr., Alejandro Abaroa, Mayra A. Cortes, Porfirio Rodrigo Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Darely Garcia, Daleyssa Garcia, Gael Salinas, Santiago Salinas and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A visitation was held in Capilla Municipal de Guerrero on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. followed by a mass at 2 p.m. at Nuestra Señora Del Refugio in Nueva Cd. Guerrero.

Committal services followed at Panteon Municipal en Nva. Guerrero, Tamaulipas.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
