ZAPATA, TEXAS— Concepcion "Conchita" Romero 81, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Ms. Romero is preceded in death by her husband Marcelino Romero.

Ms. Romero is survived by her son, Jose (Sylvia) Romero; grandchildren, Juan Jose Romero, Sylvia Ivette (Robert) Macias, Daniela (Angel) Cuellar; great grandchildren, Briana Romero, Keilani Macias, Robert A. Macias, Ryan Macias, Axel Cuellar and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, we will open at 8:00 a.m. and depart at 9:30 a.m. for a funeral mass at 10:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
