ZAPATA, TEXAS—Cira Gonzalez Strickland, 94 our beloved mother, grandmother passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in Laredo Texas.

Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by her husband, Cary Paul Strickland and her previous spouse James Earl Pippin; parents, Arturo and Francisca Gonzalez; brothers, Derly, Manuel (Elena), Arturo; sisters, Lydia Gonzalez, Viola (Antioco) Martinez, Dora (Guillermo) Ramirez.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by her daughter, Sandy Julie (Cesar) Gomez; granddaughters, Sarah Mae Gomez, Cassandra Kae Gomez; sisters-in-law, Adaljisa Gonzalez, Amelia Gonzalez and by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Lopeño Cemetery.
