ZAPATA, TEXAS---On March 21, 2023 Cesar Cuellar, a beloved brother, father, and friend passed away unexpectedly at his home and left his earthly body to join his eldest son, Cesar Cuellar, his mother and father, Fernando and Eva Cuellar, and his brother, Fernando Cuellar, Jr. in Heaven.

Cesar struggled with a withering disease that left his kidneys and heart ravaged, but throughout his pain and struggles with dialysis and doctor visits, he always had a smile for everyone and a witty remark about his observation of life. Life doesn't always turn out the way one expects it to, so Cesar will miss many new milestones of his surviving family: son, Carlos Cuellar, sisters Nelly Garcia, Belinda Vela, Vianey Martin and Wanda Garcia. His life-long two best friends an ex-wives, Dora and Lesvia Cuellar, were his confidantes, his spirit boosters, and his lifeline and were treasured by him until the day of his death. Cesar was lucky in many respects: he got to travel extensively, meet people from many walks of life, work in various oil field related positions which afforded him the ability to help many in the community, and he was able to provide a loving and caring home for his family. Cesar Cuellar will always be remembered as a gracious, kind, and giving soul. He will be sorely missed by his friends, neighbors, and family.
Rest in peace, brother, no more pain, no more sorrow; only peace.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

We will depart at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery, including full Military Honors by Zapata County Color Guard.
