ZAPATA, TEXAS---Carlos Alberto Saenz Loyde 53, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Saenz Loyde is preceded in death by his father, Arturo B. Saenz; sister, Sylvia Saenz de Chapa; paternal grandparents, Jose Aurelio Saenz y Josefa Martinez  and maternal grandparents, Tomas Loyde y Fausta Garcia.

Carlos is survived by his mother, Josefina L. Saenz; brothers, Jaime Saenz, Arturo (Alba L.) Saenz; sister, Bertha A. (Alonzo) Gonzalez; nieces and nephews, Berta E. (Rudy) Lopez, Mayra A. (Juan) Coronado, Alonzo A. (Sandra) Gonzalez, Jaime Jr. (Carolina) Saenz, Sylvia Saenz, Marian Saenz (Baldemar Sanchez), Christian (Victoria) Jurado, Patricia (Westley) Reed, Arturo Saenz Jr. (Amanda Pudenz), Joel H. Jr. (Elizabeth) Chapa and by numerous grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins and many other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Monday, August 21, 2023 we will open at 8:00 a.m. and the funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
