ZAPATA, TEXAS---On Monday, December 14, 2020 heaven gained an angel. Carlos Ramos Coronado, husband and loving father passed away at the age of 64.

Carlos was born on August 29, 1956 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. On September 22, 1984 he married Irma R. Ramos. They raised three daughters, Gladys, Selene and Karla. His daughters were his pride and joy. He was always involved in their lives. Wherever his daughters were, you were sure to find Carlos.

Carlos had a passion for his family and his friends. He was known as the most loving and selfless man. He was always ready to help and was only a phone call away, always putting others before himself. He dedicated all his time to his family when he was not at work. He will always be remembered as a compassionate and friendly spirit.

His second passion was his job. He worked as the Supervisor for the Zapata County Water Works for 29 years. He worked tirelessly and always had pride in his work. His work ethic and dedication were like no other. Everyone in town knew him by his dependability and that someone everyone counted on. Zapata will never be the same without him, life will never be the same without him.

Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Adolfo Ramos.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Irma R. Ramos; daughters, Gladys R. (Cesar E.) Trevino, Selene R. (Orlando Jr.) Guerra, Karla Y. Ramos; grandchildren, Cesar Leonardo Trevino, Orlando Guerra, III, Leanna N. Guerra, Carlos Adolfo Guerra; mother, Irma Coronado Ramos; brother, Adolfo (Beatriz) Ramos, Mario (Nilda Elena) Ramos, Juan Angel Ramos; sisters, Maria De Jesus Ramos (Jose Luis Lopez), Irma Guadalupe (Enrique) Benavides, Rosenda (Horacio) Saldana, Marta Amalia (Sergio) Martinez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.

Due to the current pandemic family has requested a private viewing for immediate family only. Public can remain in their vehicles while at funeral home and follow in the procession to cemetery. Family would like to thank everyone for the prayers or any other acts of kindness.
