SAN YGNACIO, TEXAS—Brigida J. Paredes 82, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Paredes is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Angel Paredes Jr.; parents, Jose Maria and Paula Jasso; brothers, Lazaro Jasso, Jose Maria Jasso, Amado Jasso, Refugio Jasso; sisters, Ramona Botello, Paula Botello, Oralia Jasso.

Mrs. Paredes is survived by her sons, Jose Angel (Maggie) Paredes III, Javier A. (†Claudia) Paredes, Jaime A. (Carmen) Paredes; daughter, Diana A. (Luis) Solis; grandchildren, Ricardo J. (Claire) Paredes, Janie (Ricardo) Cantu, Cosme (Maritza) Solis, Maegan B. (Johnny) Segovia, Xavier O. (Alyssa) Paredes, Marco A. Solis, Karina (Eduardo) Sanchez, Joe (Vivian) Paredes IV, Miguel Solis, Enrique (Blanca) Solis, Michelle (Jordan) Gallegos, Joaquin A. Paredes, Juan A. Paredes and by numerous great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Family would also like to give a special thanks to her niece Alejandra Botello.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Saturday, May 15, 2026, we will open at 8:00 a.m. the funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Refuge in San Ygnacio, Texas.

Committal services will follow at Uribe Cemetery in San Ygnacio, Texas.
