ZAPATA, TEXAS— Bobby R. Kernell "Bob" 78, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Falcon Lake Nursing Home in Zapata, Texas.

Bob is preceded in death by his son, Brian "Pooky" Kernell; father, Ray H. Kernell and mother, Bonnie Hyden.

Bob is survived by his wife, Kathleen A. Hill; grandchildren, Andrew (Sydney) Kernell, Adriana Kernell, Kaven Kernell, Kynna Kernell; great grandchildren, Remeigh Kernell, Augie Brian Kernell; brother, Danny (DeAnne) Brunson and numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
