ZAPATA, TEXAS---Benita Martinez 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Martinez; daughters, Rosa Belia Martinez de Minor and Maria Amanda Martinez de Valadez.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her sons, Juan Antonio (Martha) Martinez, Jose Luis (Carmen) Martinez, Benito (Juana) Martinez, Gregorio (Rosalia) Martinez; daughters, Armandina (Julian) Carmona, Veronica (Jose Luis) Gomez and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with chapel service at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service at Zapata County Cemetery.
