ZAPATA, TEXAS---Ascencion Esther "Conchita" Arellano Martinez 57, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Ms. Arellano is preceded in death by her parents, Marcelino H. and Feliciana Martinez de Arellano.

Ms. Arellano is survived by her brothers and sisters, Francis Arellano (†Miguel A. Mayorga), Lucina Ascencion (†Josue Carrizales), Arturo Arellano, Maria Guadalupe G. Arellano (Mario), Feliciano A. Arellano (†Angela Aviles), Jose Luis Arellano (Raquel), Juan Martin Arellano (Rosario), Maria Del Carmen (Nicolas) Rocha, Cruz Lourdes (Jose) Aguilera, Braulio Arellano (Paola), Marcelino XXIII (†Carmen) Arellano and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
