ZAPATA, TEXAS---Arturo Serna 62, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Serna is preceded in death by his son, Sergio Arturo Serna, Jr.; parents, Conrado and Eva Serna; brother, Jorge L. Serna and a sister, Sylvia A. Perez.

Mr. Serna is survived by his wife, Leticia Serna; daughter, Edna (Ferny) Valadez; grandchildren, Matthew (Brianda) Serna, Ariana Noemi Valadez, Fernando Arturo Valadez; great-granddaughter, Maddison Serna; brothers, Conrado Jr. (Claudia) Serna, Andres (Diana) Serna; brother-in-law, Adalberto Perez; sister-in-law, Dora G. Serna and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A chapel service was held on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
