ZAPATA, TEXAS---Arturo "Pachi" Barrera 66, was called into Heaven by the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Arturo was born on April 15, 1954 in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Barrera is preceded in death by his parents, Raul Barrera and Olivia Saenz Barrera and a brother, Raul Barrera, Jr.

Mr. Barrera is survived by his sisters, Yolanda B. (†Felix) Garcia, Elia B. (†Clemente) Gutierrez, Idelta B. (Domingo Eloy) Castañeda; nephews and nieces, Felix (Diana) Garcia, Jr., Reynaldo (Claudia) Garcia, Victor (Diana) Garcia, Amador Garcia, Cynthia G. (Baldo) Anzaldua, †Veronica Gutierrez, Rebecca G. (George) Blevins, Jose Clemente (Kimberly) Gutierrez, Jr., Raquel Gutierrez, Domingo (Esmeralda) Castañeda, David Eduardo (Magali) Castañeda, Kristina C. (Jorge) Serna, Daniel (Roberta) Barrera, Anabel Barrera, Jessica Buruato; and by numerous loving grand-nephews and nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 9 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
