ZAPATA, TEXAS---Antonio Villarreal Abrego, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Villarreal is preceded in death by his son, Juan De Dios Villarreal; grandson, Jose Villarreal; brothers, Abel (Guadalupe) Villarreal, Genaro (Ramona) Villarreal; sisters, Raquel (Agustin) Serna and Maria (Tomas)Villarreal.

Mr. Villarreal is survived by his wife, Consuelo Garcia de Villarreal; sons, Antonio (Nidia) Villarreal, Jose R. (Lydia) Villarreal, Carlos J. (Ma. Manuela) Villarreal; daughter, Lucero (†Joel) Gomez; grandchildren, Armando A. Villarreal, Eduardo Villarreal, Karen Villarreal, Alexia V. Gonzalez, Jose A. Villarreal, Carlos M. Villarreal, Juan De Dios Gomez, Cassandra Gomez, Joel E. Gomez and by numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in Funeraria Municipal in Guerrero, Tamaulipas.

Committal services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Panteon Municipal in Guerrero, Tamaulipas.
