ZAPATA, TEXAS---Antonio Morales, was born on June 1 ^st , 1920 in Uribeño, Texas and passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of 100 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Morales was a WWII veteran with the U.S. Army.  He worked with the Texas Department of Highway and Transportation for thirty-six years.

Mr. Morales is preceded in death by his wife Victoria R. Morales; Baby Antonio Morales, Jr.; parents, Serapio and Vidala Morales; brothers, Manuel Morales, Serapio Morales Jr., Fabian Morales, Zaragoza Morales, Agapito Morales, Jose Morales, and Felipe Morales;  sisters, Petra Mendoza, Andrea Villarreal, Vidala Gonzalez, Amada Bustamante and Francisca Bustamante.

Mr. Morales is survived by his son, Jose Luis (Edna) Morales; grandsons, Jose Luis Morales Jr. , Alberto Antonio Morales, and Benjamin Joel Morales; sister Maria R. Martinez and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Graveside services including full Military Honors by the American Legion Post 486 Color Guard at Zapata County Cemetery.
