LAREDO, TEXAS--- Anita R. Jaramillo 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, with her loving daughter Rosa Escobedo there by her side. Anita was born on March 10, 1932, in Juarez-Coahuila Mexico and moved to Laredo, Texas in 1948. On November 6, 1955, she married Efrain Jaramillo. In 1965 they moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin for work and upon retiring in 1991 they returned to Laredo, Texas where they resided.

Anita was a loving kind soul with the most beautiful sense of humor. Her passion was always taking care of her family. Although she had little, her children and grandkids felt like they were truly rich because of her love and kindness. Anita spent countless hours being around nature and animals which developed her love for them, especially the homeless ones who never went hungry if they found their way to her front porch. She always said you will have points in heaven if you take care of animals as they have no voice. She shared her love of comedy and music to her family especially Cantinflas, La India Maria and the music of Perez Prado.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Efrain Jaramillo Sr.; grand-daughter, Bianca Escobedo Garcia.

Anita is survived by her sons, Efrain (Nora) Jaramillo Jr., Hector (Maria) Jaramillo, Javier (Heather) Jaramillo; daughter, Rosa E. Escobedo (Kevin Jepsen); and by numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and other family members and friends.

Anita was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed reading the bible and teaching her kids to always see the good in people. She will be dearly missed but her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.

Special thanks from Rosa to all my brothers and my son for always checking in on her with whatever she needed. To my daughter, Bianca, thank you for taking care of her for many years and always being there for her day and night. Her favorite great-granddaughter, Trish Garcia, who never left her side till the very end and always found ways to make her smile. Thank you, I miss you mom.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.at Rose Garden Funeral Home in Zapata, Texas.

Graveside services will follow at Laredo City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
