ZAPATA, TEXAS—Angelica Valadez Gonzalez 66, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her residence in Zapata, Texas.

Angelica is preceded in death by her son, Francisco Javier Valadez; parents, Jose Candido and Enedelia Valadez; brothers, Jose Candido Valadez Jr., Eduardo Roel Valadez; sister, Maricela Valadez Camarillo.

Angelica is survived by her brothers, Juan Antonio Valadez, Ramiro (Beatriz) Valadez, Jesus (Maria Elena) Valadez, Martha Valadez, Melva Iliana Valadez, Sylvia Nery (†Zaragoza) Saldaña and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, we will open at 8:00 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
