ZAPATA, TEXAS--- Angel Rodriguez 73, passed away on July 17, 2022 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his daughter, April Marie Rodriguez; father, Rogelio Rodriguez; siblings, Anselmo Rodriguez, Luis J. Rodriguez and Blanca R. González.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife of 55 years of marriage, Margarita G. Rodriguez; son, Angel Rodriguez Jr. (Alison Ball); daughters, Teresa Ann Rodriguez (John James Hill Jr.), Roxanne (Daniel) Hinojosa; grandchildren, Alexandra Maree Hill; Amelia Angel Hinojosa; James T. Hinojosa; mother, Luisa G. Creel; siblings, Cynthia (Billy Bob) Granger, Rogelio Rodriguez, Jr., Jorge Rodriguez, Diana R. Pena, Maria D. Guzmán and Elma Rodriguez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Angel was a 4 ^th Degree Knights of Columbus in Laredo and helped start the Zapata Chapter. He was a grand knight and a District Deputy for the knights; He was also a member of the Zapata Benevolent, Livestock Committee, 4H Leader and also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Bingo's.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. with a rosary at 9:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
