ZAPATA, TEXAS---Angel Luis Ortiz 83, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Alicia Rubio de Ortiz and his parents, Luis Gonzaga Ortiz and Teresa Aurora Aguileta de Ortiz.

Mr. Ortiz is survived by his sons, Jose L. (Marisa C.) Ortiz, Ricardo (Claudia P.) Ortiz; grandchildren, Jose L. Jr. (Brenda) Ortiz, Cynthia (Gary) Cloud, Angel G. Ortiz, Raul A. Ortiz, Arianna E. Ortiz; great-grandchildren, Maylin L. Cloud, Yaneli D. Cloud, Isaac D. Cloud, Levi N. Cloud, Ivanya Ortiz and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. followed by full Military Honors by the Zapata County Honor Guard at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
