ZAPATA, TEXAS---Amaro Guerra-Saldaña 73, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at his residence in Zapata, Texas.

Mr. Guerra-Saldaña is preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo and Teofila Guerra-Montemayor; son-in-law, Jesus Ramon Ubalde; brother and sister, Rodolfo Guerra and Martha (Sergio) Rodriguez.

Mr. Guerra-Saldaña is survived by his wife, Evelia Galindo de Guerra; sons, Amaro Jr. (Karen) Guerra, Joel (Isaura) Guerra; daughter, Edith (Ricardo) Villarreal; grandchildren, Melissa Ubalde, Clarissa Ubalde, Gisselle Ubalde, Annette Ubalde, Jesus Ubalde, Goldie Villarreal, Arely Guerra, David Guerra; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Garcia, Alonzo Garcia, Agustin Garcia, Alia Gonzalez, Roberto Medina; brothers, Eliud (Rosario) Guerra, Hector (Connie) Guerra, Mito Guerra; sister-in-law, Juany Guerra and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
