ZAPATA, TEXAS- Amalia Cira Gutierrez 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by her husband Abelardo "Abe" Gutierrez; parents, Arturo and Maria Del Carmen Ramirez; brother, Arturo T. (Arabelia) Ramirez; sister, Anna M. (Heberto) Garcia.

Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her son, Abelardo Arturo (Sandra Y.) Gutierrez; daughter, Aleida Anel (Juan G. Jr.) Perez; grandchildren, Carmen Cristina (Jesus I.) Jimenez, Abelardo Arturo Gutierrez Jr., Alynna Andrea Gutierrez; great-granddaughter, Isabela Lucia Jimenez; cousin, Minerva R. Garcia; special friends, Ed & Laura Guerra and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, we will open at 8:00 a.m. the funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Ramireño Cemetery.
