ZAPATA, TEXAS---Amador Benavides, 67, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Benavides  is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Irene Benavides; brother, Juan Roberto Benavides;  and sister,  Azucena Garza.

Mr. Benavides is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosa G. Benavides; son, Luis Rolando Benavides; daughters, Veronica (Raul L.) Villarreal, Maria Gladys Benavides; grandchildren, Raul R. (Leyliana N.) Villarreal, Jr., Kristal (Ovidio) Salinas, Samantha (Roberto) Villarreal, Jesus Jaime Molina, Kianna Villarreal; great grandchildren, Kively Salinas, Ovidio Salinas, Jr., Raul R. Villarreal III,  Itzyana Salinas, Kiahara Villarreal, Rolando Roel Villarreal, Kenia Villarreal, Sebastian Salinas; sisters, Elma (Federico) Lopez, Rosa (Santiago Jr.) Solis, Herminia (Victor) Garcia, Juanita (Juan) Valadez, and by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
