ZAPATA, TEXAS---Alicia Emma R. Gutierrez 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Alicia Emma was a kind, generous, wonderful, and loving woman, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She would oftentimes contribute and help her community, her church, and individuals in need. She was a devout woman of faith and just as her faith was strong, so was her will. She loved her husband and her family very much and she took pride in all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Alicia Emma will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and her abundant generosity.

Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Dora Ramos and brother, Jose Antonio Ramos.

Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her husband of 51 years, Guadalupe R. Gutierrez, Jr.; children, Guadalupe (Rebecca) Gutierrez, III, Jorge Roel (Carmen) Gutierrez, Julian Javier (Hortencia) Gutierrez, Crisella Gutierrez (Jose Delgado), Iris Gutierrez (Miguel Villarreal); grandchildren, Jose Luis (Arian) Delgado, Jr., Jorge Roel Gutierrez, II, Alicia Marie Gutierrez, Xavier Rene Delgado, Raquel Selena Gutierrez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, IV, Lorena Gutierrez, Sergio Antonio Gutierrez, Julian Javier Gutierrez, II, Miguel Riquerio Villarreal, Antonio Javier Gutierrez; great-granddaughters, Elena Madeline Cantu, Penelope Briseis Cantu; niece, Connie (Frankie) Muñoz, nephew, Jose Antonio Ramos, Jr. and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession departed on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services followed at Zapata County Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
