SAN YGNACIO, TEXAS---Alfonso J. Zepeda "El Rooster" 71, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Zepeda is preceded in death by his daughter, Nora Alicia Zepeda; grandson, Javier E. Benavides; granddaughter, Dahlia Y. Paredes and parents, Benito and Rosa Maria Zepeda.

Mr. Zepeda is survived by his wife, Nelda G. Zepeda; sons, Eduardo B. (Maribel) Zepeda, Isaac (Melissa) Zepeda, Oscar (Anna) Zepeda, Jaime (Liliana) Zepeda, Alfonso J. (Azusena) Zepeda, Hector Zepeda (Liza Barrera), Gerardo (Adamina) Zepeda, Rene (Jerika) Zepeda; daughters, Maria Aurora Zepeda, Nora A. Zepeda, Lydia (Alfonso) Benavides, Linda (Carlos) Martinez, Hilda Zepeda, Rosa (Benjamin) Orozco and Lisa E. (Pablo) Gonzalez, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edmundo E. (Minerva) Zepeda; mother-in-law, Maria Aurora Garza; and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service at Panteon Del Pueblo in San Ygnacio, Texas.
