ZAPATA, TEXAS---Agustin A. "Alex" Garcia 16, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Alex was a sophomore at Zapata High School Class of 2020. He enjoyed fishing, playing sports, and video games.

Alex is survived by his parents, Augie and Melissa Garcia; brother, Jaime Rene Garcia; maternal grandparents, Minerva (Luis) Villarreal; paternal grandparents, Agustin and Petra Garcia; aunts and uncles, Juan E. Jr. (Mariana) Garcia, Alex (Arely) Garcia, George Garcia, Leslie (Marshall) Davidson, Ana (Arturo) Macias, Alejandra (Luis) Paz, Maria (Roberto) Martinez and by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation hours were held on Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a chapel service at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rose Garden Funeral Home Daniel A. Gonzalez, Funeral Director, 2102 N. US HWY 83 Zapata, Texas.
