ZAPATA, TEXAS---Adolio Bustamante 82, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Adolio Bustamante was a man of many virtues and talents. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. As a young man, Adolio was raised on the principles of respect, love, and humility alongside his four sisters and three brothers. On September 31st 1962 Adolio married his neighbor, lifelong friend and love of his life Elvira Rodriguez. Out of their unconditional love Adolio and Elvira gave life to 4 amazing children. In his early life from 1970-1996 Adolio worked as Farm Ranch Agriculture Manger at Herbert Ranch in Hollister, California.

In his later life he made the decision to reside permanently in Zapata, TX where he later worked at MedLoz Lease Services from the years of 1997-2006. From the years of 2006-2011 he worked at Zapata County as laborer overseeing the maintenance for the Zapata County Cemetery. He later retired at the age of 73 alongside his loving wife Elvira Rodriguez Bustamante.

Adolio was an amazing, strong man that left behind a beautiful family legacy. He instilled the true meaning of family togetherness, and unconditional love. He was a true family man and was respected by all who surrounded him. His pride and joy was raising his family to be united in the good and bad times. He has left at peace knowing that his family bond is something that can never be broken. His family has been left with an inconsolable void but with the joy and hope of knowing that this amazing man has gained eternal rest and is now with his beloved son Rigoberto Bustamante in heaven. He was loved by many and will be missed by all and he will never be forgotten for the extraordinary strong man he once was.

Mr. Bustamante is preceded in death by his son, Rigoberto Bustamante; parents, Roberto and Isabel Bustamante; brothers, Rodolfo (Criselia) Bustamante, Alonzo Bustamante, Roberto Bustamante; sisters, Maria B. (Juan) Vela, Benilde B. (Fernando) Rivera, Elvira B. (Juan Manuel) Valadez and Isabel B. (Ramiro) Guajardo.

Mr. Bustamante is survived by his wife, Elvira R. Bustamante; sons, Luis A. (Amanda) Bustamante, Juan A. (Monica) Bustamante; daughter, Etelvina (Gaudencio) Mata; grandchildren, Karla (Ernesto) Arroyo, Luis A. Bustamante, Jr., Oscar D. (Kimberly) Bustamante, Yaritza L. Bustamante, Juan A. Bustamante, Jr., Alberto J. Bustamante, Alynna M. Ramos, Enrique X. Ramos, Etelvina (Esteban) Ramirez, Selina Mata, Secilia Mata, Gaudencio Mata, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ernesto Arroyo, Jr., Eden Arroyo, Kamila Arroyo, Oscar D. Bustamante, Jr., Liam Bustamante, Ava Bustamante, Gavin A. Ramirez, Jose Orlando Villarreal, Jr., Seline Maya Villarreal and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Zapata County Cemetery.
