RAMIREÑO, TEXAS---Abelardo "Abe" Gutierrez, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Gutierrez is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe R. and Lucia Gutierrez; brothers, Rolando A. Gutierrez, Jesus Maria (Norma) Gutierrez, Guadalupe R. Jr. (Alicia Emma) Gutierrez, Fernando Gutierrez; sister, Miroslava G. Romo; in-laws, Arturo  and Carmen Ramirez; brothers-in-law, Arturo (Arabelia) Ramirez, Pomposo A. Ramirez; sister-in-law, Ana Maria (Heberto) Garcia and a nephew, Jesus Maria Gutierrez, Jr.

Mr. Gutierrez is survived by his wife of 50 years, Amalia C. Gutierrez; son, Abelardo Arturo (Sandra) Gutierrez; daughter, Aleida Anel Gutierrez (Juan G. Jr.) Perez; grandchildren, Carmen Cristina Paredes, Abelardo Arturo Gutierrez, Jr., and Alynna Andrea Gutierrez; brother, Alberto A. (Irasema) Gutierrez; sisters, Patricia (Mario) Benavides, Esmeralda (Rafael) Garcia, Maria Dolores Ramirez; faithful companion, "Kuko" and special friends, Ed and Laura Guerra and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Mr. Gutierrez owned & operated Abe's Plumbing & Electrical Service for 30 years; he served Zapata and surrounding areas. His famous moto was #1 in the #2 business.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

The funeral procession will depart on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Committal services will follow at Ramireño Cemetery in Ramireño, Texas.
