ZAPATA, TEXAS---Abel Peña 65, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Peña is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria and Maria Del Refugio Peña; brothers, Jose M. Peña and Javier Peña; sister, Martha (Manuel) Cuellar.

Mr. Peña is survived by his son, Abel Jr. (Jaquelyn) Peña; daughter, Adriana (Ricardo) Ventura; grandchildren, Abel Peña III, and Dean Peña; Abel and Adriana's mother, Veronica G. Peña; sisters, Alicia (Steve) Ramirez, Susie (Elmo) Benavides, Raquel (Joel) Chapa; sister in laws, Sonia Peña and Alma Peña; and by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

On Monday, April 3, 2023 we will open at 9:00 am and a chapel service at 11:00 am at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
