ZAPATA, TEXAS---Abel Villarreal 84 passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Chicago, IL and Maria Guadalupe Villarreal 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas.

Abel and Maria Guadalupe Villarreal are preceded in death by their son, Ismael Villarreal; his parents, Jose and Abundia Villarreal; her parents, Marciano and Ana Maria R. Valadez and by numerous brothers and sisters.

Abel and Maria Guadalupe Villarreal are survived by their children, Maria Lourdez (John) Godoy, Jose Abel (Nelly) Villarreal, Carmen Yojana (Guillermo) Esquivel, Jose David (Ana) Villarreal, Rolando Eric (Elizabeth) Villarreal, Jesus (Esmeralda) Villarreal, Miozotiz (Oziel) Montoya; eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; Abel's surviving brothers and sisters, Santiago (Lilian) Villarreal, Guadalupe (†Antonio) Melgoza, Antonio (Consuelo) Villarreal; Maria Guadalupe's surviving brothers and sisters, Ana Maria (†Derly) Chapa, Higinio (Felica) Valadez and Marciano (Rosario) Valadez and by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a rosary at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Zapata County Cemetery.
