With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Abel Joel Guerra, who came into this world on March 20, 1942, and left it peacefully on January 17, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Abel's legacy of humor, strength, and unwavering determination will forever be remembered by those who knew him. Abel had a gift for making people laugh, his sharp wit and humor brightened the lives of everyone around him. He was a hardworking man, known for his resilience and dedication to his family. While he had a strong and determined personality, he also deeply appreciated the beauty of the outdoors, finding solace and joy in nature's simplicity. Abel's family was his greatest pride.

He was a loving father to Melva (Rafael) Espinoza, Diana (Oron) Boone, Abel (Melisa) Guerra, Annabel (Joey) Esparza, and Oscar (Jennifer) Guerra. He was also a treasured grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Cassandra (Ricardo), Anthony, Roy, Jake (Cinthia), Raquel, Andrew, Corgan, David, Matthew, Joaquinn, and Joseph. Additionally, he was a proud great-grandfather to three granddaughters, Adelynn, Amelia and Mia, and two grandsons Alijah and Aiden and a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Abel is preceded in death by his parents, Abel Guerra and San Juana Guerra, as well as his brothers; Remigio Guerra, Eli Guerra, and Ramirito Guerra. He is survived by his brothers, Rene (Sylvia) Guerra, Carlos (Leticia) Guerra, Derly Guerra, Rudy (Ana) Guerra, and his sister, Sylvia Guerra. Their enduring love and shared memories will continue to celebrate his remarkable life. As we honor Abel's memory, we find comfort in the laughter he brought, the strength he exhibited, and the love he shared with all. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a chapel service at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
